LIFE Photo Archive Hosted by Google.

I love my Google! They always find a way to be more revolutionary and provide the most useful features. Now they bring to you one of the most elaborate photo archives from the past century for view through their LIFE image search. This collection from LIFE magazine contains some 10 million images, most of which have never been published.

You can search a vast array of historic photographs from the mid- 1750’s through the late 20th century in high resolution. And you can expect to see the entire archive collection by the first quarter of next year. Framed fine-art photographs can also be purchased directly from the site.

Here are some of my favorites:

Anna Pavlova, a famous Russian ballerina of late 19th, early 20th century, and group of dancers at George Balanchine’s School of American Ballet.

Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn
